Sun: Mammoliti Weighs In On Giambrone
Feb 09, 2010 | admin | 5
In the wake of the revelations that mayoral candidate Adam Giambrone had an “inappropriate relationship” with a university student, the Toronto Sun talked one rival, Giorgio Mammoliti:
“Toronto mayoral candidate Adam Giambrone – under fire for accusations that he had an “inappropriate” relationship with a young woman – needs to decide for himself if he’ll continue his political run, mayoral candidate and council colleague Giorgio Mammoliti says.
“I think that Adam has some decisions to make, obviously, and those are decisions for him to make,” he said. “It’s his personal life and I’d rather not be debating each of our personal lives.”

Personal decision – yes. But the TTC also has a decision to make and they'd better not screw it up: Chairman or floor-sweeper: what does TTC do w/ employees who have sex on prem; fire his ass is what they should do, with no severance or payout
First off, if I had Mammoliti's track record on doing lame-brained stuff I'd lay very low on this one.
Second, it makes me wonder if Giabrone gets elected Mayor of Toronto will he also be Mayor of Ottawa and just not tell either city?
Thanks to the Star for doing their part to bring American-style gotcha politics to Toronto.
Why does this young thing get so much attention for being screwed by giambrone? His constituents have been getting screwed by him for years, that's the real news. He doesn't even socialize in his ward, he goes to "higher class" places like the revival or gladstone to do his grandstanding. Lansdowne Station–not safe, 3 safety audits-nothing done, no room to stand but in the way of the people and the elements, no ACCESSIBLE means of getting around and we had to fight to get it cleaned. TTC reasoning, "due to employee absenteeism" they are unable to keep it clean. #$%^&&
@Stephen van Egmond. The Star has done its duty to provide topical and timely information to the public. In many of their stories, we the public are helpless. The Star has given us an opportunity. We have the information we need to demand better. Will we say that we want our leaders at a higher ethical standard?
